Virta is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented HR Intern to join our People & HR team for the summer. This isn't about making coffee or filing papers; it's a hands-on opportunity to contribute to modern, scalable HR practices that support our team of 180+ innovators. What you’ll do:

This internship is a chance to gain broad exposure across key HR functions. You will be an active member of our team, and your contributions will have a real impact. Your summer projects will include:

• Contribute to updating our employee handbooks and HR policies, ensuring they reflect our values in a global context.

• Help improve our HR systems and documentation, making our processes smoother and more efficient for everyone.

• Support critical HR data projects, including work related to our performance management cycles and HR Information System (HRIS).

• Assist in organizing employment contracts and other key HR materials, a vital part of the employee lifecycle.

• Take part in developing new learning content for our employees and contribute to our company's sustainability reporting.

This role is perfect for you if you have:

• You have completed a few years of relevant studies.

• You have a genuine interest in Human Resources and in contributing to a positive employee experience.

• You have a sharp eye for detail and a structured, organized way of working.

• You bring a proactive, can-do attitude and are comfortable working independently on assigned tasks.

• You have excellent communication skills in English and are motivated to work in an international team environment.

• You are able to work regularly from our office in Salmisaari, Helsinki.

• You are available from mid-May to mid-August.
